St Anne’s Primary Care Trust

A new build project for St Anne’s Primary Care Trust had a planning contraint attached which resulted in a required C02 reduction via the implementation of onsite renewable energy generation.

Following an initial investigation into the proposed installation of an electric solar or photovoltaic (PV) generation system, Energi were assigned to design and install a PV installation on a new building at St Annes Primary Care Centre.

The building had one South facing roof which was selected for the PV array and Energi presented the client with options for both on-roof solar modules and an integrated in-roof installation.

St Anne’s Primary Care Centre were looking for a visually appealing finish so integrated C21e solar tiles were selected as they offered a attractive finish and could also be used to offset some of the cost of the actual roof tiles.

Energi installed a.64kWp solar tile system consisting of 243 C21e tiles, with a SMA Sunny Boy 3800 inverter. The system included a public display monitor placed in the foyer to demonstrate energy produced along with the tonnes of C02 saved, to both staff members and the public.

Energi’s fully accredited status enabled a 50% grant towards the cost of the project under the LCBP Phase 2 grant scheme.
